Valuation

As required by federal legislation, Forward Van Lines provides standard valuation coverage for all items transported during interstate and long-distance relocations. This standard coverage is $0.60 per pound per article up to $10,000.00

This minimal coverage is included at no cost and without deductible which means that in the event of loss or damage you will be compensated for the weight of the item lost or damages multiplied by .60 cents per pound.

If you are interested in an increased rate of cost-replacement coverage, this can be arranged at any time with your reservation agent.

Please refer to Full Value Protection and 3rd Party Insurance for related information and additional coverage options. Please keep in mind that as the sipper/customer it is your responsibility to have adequate coverage for your shipment.
