Peru
All shipments are inspected by Peruvian Customs Authorities – except foreign diplomat shipments. 14% duties are assessed on household goods shipments based on the value given by the Peruvian Customs Authorities after shipment’s inspection, which is normally below the real price of the goods. If the client wishes to be present during the inspection, a prior coordination with our Imports Department will be necessary.

In case of returning Peruvian citizens, Import duties are the same as for foreigners (14% duties are assessed on household goods shipments based on the value given by the Peruvian Customs Authorities after shipment’s inspection, which is normally below the real price of the goods.), with the exception of the household goods previously exported fromPeru with supporting documentation – such as packing list, OBL or AWB and Exports Policy -stamped by Peruvian Customs, that are free of duties.
In order to pay 14% of duties, returning Peruvian citizens must demonstrate a minimum of 13 consecutive months living abroad, without having visited Peru for more than 30 days – consecutive or alternated – during such period of time. Otherwise, the percentage of duties to pay will be 33% of the value given by the Peruvian Customs Authorities after shipment’s inspection.
